With the thirty-third piece in the MAZE Series, I find myself realizing that it’s harder to write something interesting about each of these than it was to create them. Another wall. Persevere.
I chose the editorial layout because it features the same Tarot deck I have owned since being a teenager. It’s the Celtic deck, seen in MAZE33-3. Bottom left corner.
The whole layout was magic themed. Black crystal balls and triangles. Even Ernesto agreed the styling was very Kate Bush.
I just needed a one shot crop to pair with the trio. I chose an underwater shot from National Geographic. The solo crop does need balance. The perfectionist in me wishes the pairing were two duos.
But it’s a system that only has four options. Four solos. Two duos. Three versus one. Or four of a kind. It’s essential to try all the possibilities.
Maybe if it were a better match it might satisfy that nasty perfectionist. I still like this piece a lot. Reread the first sentence to clarify.
At this point, I have created, scanned, shopped and the uploaded and built each of these posts. So it’s been a long process of thought. Sorry if the writing falls short sometimes.
